Monterey Road near East Dunne Drive

There’s a trap at a side street next to a small white church.Speed limit is 25 mph.The police gave me a ticket but I acknowledge I made a mistake and it was my first ticket in 25 years but I didn’t get a warning. What bugged me is that the officer told me they will be enforcing the speed limit because of complaints. But so far I haven’t seen any police and drivers are driving at least forty mph. The only thing to slow people down are two speed bumps, one for each way. So,where is the police?Morgan Hillisn’t that big.I expect the police to keep to their word. But anyways, keep an eye on your speed in this area.

There is a railroad overpass going North on Monterey twoards Cochrane Road. It is at the edge of town, more or less, and you go into a large downhill dip until the overpass itself when you begin going back uphill. The speed limit is 35 mph, yet it is very difficult to go that slow given the entirely pedestrian/cross traffic-less remote area and the fact that you are going downhill. A cop will sit at the top of the hill 1/4 mile down, and clock whoever comes up out of the tunnel like road.

If you’ve receive a ticket just after Cochrane Rd, you may not have seen where the Officers sits. There’s a clover leaf entrance that is on the north side of the Cochrane Rd over pass where they like to sit. They will often sit in there interceptor behind a Pine tree off of the pavement facing so that he/she can easily take off.

Anywhere from when you crest the hill after the Coyote Creek Exit to Cochrane Rd, the CHP sits on either side of the freeway on the North Bound side. They sit there because it’s too late once you see them.

The CHP sit on either side of this exit waiting for someone. They often sit on the south bound side at the exit stop sign so they can see traffic in both directions. At that point they can access the free way in either direction, but you don’t see them until it’s too late when traveling North because of the differences in elevation.
