Palmdale, California Speed Traps
Ave. O & 7th St. West (by Walmart 10th St)
Motorcycle cops like to wait on Eastbound side of Ave. O and stop cars making right turn at stop sign on 7th St. W at Ave. O that do not make full and complete stop at stop sign before proceeding with their turn. They do this on average 1-2 times a month at varying times of the month so make sure you stop completely if you are leaving the back way out of the Walmart near there.
Southside of Ave. R Just west of 25th St. East
Motorcycle cop sits there waiting for people coming out of Palmdale High School to make a left during posted hours. Posted sign is straight ahead to the on the other side (southside of R) when pulling out of the main driveway.
W Ave O Overpass of Hwy. 14 (Antelope Valley Freeway)
Hitting northbound drivers with radar.
47th Street East
There are two motorcycle officers: one to use radar and the other to chase. Usually there in the morning between 8:15 and 9:30am.
Rancho Vista Boulevard near Peonza Lane
Westbound at Eastbound approx 1/2 on each side of Peonza Lane. This is a school zone and cops are there at least once a week. I have seen up to 4 motorcycle cops in the area at one time. They are there during school rush hour from 7:20 am until 8:00 am. I’m unsure about the PM school rush hour.
