S. Marengo between Colorado and E. Glenarm St

This is a very deceiving stretch of road, it seems like the Speed Limit should be 35-40 which typically means you will drive just a little faster. ITS NOT! The speed limit is 25 North of Colorado and 30 below. Depending on the day, the cops swarm this area. I watch it all happen from my office window, it was very entertaining until I got a ticket here… time has gone by and now its entertaining again. The cops like to work the rush hours mostly.

One, sometimes 2 CHP motorcycle officers with radar. Taking speed readings well before a school zone, pulling "offenders" over in front of the school, regardless of whether any "children are present". Using the school zone exception to operate a trap. Speed limit sign is only 156 feet from the school.

Motor Officers from both Pasadena P.D. and C.H.P. (Because part of this area is L.A. County) run daily monitoring in this 35 MPH zone that is often exceeded by many.

Lately there has been more activity with a pair of motorcycle officers in the shade on the south side of the street – seems to be mostly late afternoon – the speed limit is 30MPH and many drivers speed here so you really have to be careful not to go the speed they are.
