Petaluma, California Speed Traps

Bike cops love to sit in the Kawasaki Dealer parking lot looking straight across towards Dunaway and Gulik’s, waiting for people to go over the limit (25mph!).

There are cops hanging out on the corners of D st; F s; and G st. where they meet up at Sunnyslope Ave. They’re usually there around lunchtime when all the HS kids come home, and late at night with their lights turned off, but I’ve seen them at various times during the day. Watch out especially because once you pass G st. you’re in a school zone.

Local bear hides in private drive ways-in cars and cycles. Works it on a regular basis. Speed limit is 40mph. Not unreasonable,but who does the speed limit. Don’t know if he cuts you any slack.

Police are always hiding out on Crinella waiting for you to run the stop signs on Caulfield. Be careful especially at night time when when the police are parked on Crinella with their lights turned off.
