Intersection of Contra Costa Blvd and Monument

Pleasant Hill, CaliforniaNov 01, 20010 Comments

New Type of freeway interchange ("Diamond"-type interchange) at I-680 and Monument has several "No Turn on RED" light restrctions which are unexpected by visitors and travelers. The Pleasant Hill Police are overzealous on issuing tickets for violations, and show no mercy to visitors and travelers (no warnings given). When driving ANYWHERE in Pleasant Hill CA, check for "No Turn on RED" signs before making any right turn on a red, always keep speed below posted speed limits (which are generally at 35 MPH or less), always use turn signals 200 ft before your turn, always wear seat belts and have proper sets for childern, and make sure that all running lights are functioning properly before entering the city.
