Poway, California Speed Traps

One to three or more Officers set up a speed trap just north of the School north bound of Poway Road on Pomerado. No one slows down for the school Zone so they write tickets many days a week.

Police with radar guns any time of day.

On Community Road going north before Poway Road, there is a hill with 45mph as you go down, then it changes to 30mph at the bottom of the hill because of the park and fire station. Police like to hide in a greenery covered driveway right before the fire house. there is a speed checker on the way down the hill that they read to see if you’re speeding when you hit the slow zone.

On Twin Peaks Road traveling from Ted Williams Pkwy to Community Road. Radar used from side street – info transmitted to police standing on roadside a couple of streets down where you are stopped.

Scripps/Poway Pkwy – either direction at pull-out at bottom of hill or in center divide (motorcycle). Also located around curve near Danielson.
