Poway, California Speed Traps

Heading East on Scripps Poway PArkway, past Geico (The last of the industrial park) and past the big water tower tot he left, around the bend and down the hill in the center divide behind the guardrail and bushes will hide a motorcycle or squad car. Watch out because there may be one a mile down the road to try to get you after you think you are in the clear and speed up again.

Police generally hide in the shade in driveways on the right side when heading towards Poway Road, and are very uptight about the 45 mph speed limit. Take it easy if you’re not positive there is no cop in the area, because chances are there is (at least) one.

Police will sit in patrol car facing west bound traffic down Poway Road radaring speeding motorist. BEWARE…….

They usually have a motorcycle cop and a cruise, and the cycle cop stands off to the side of the road with the radar gun, and pulls people over into the culdesack

Cops are looking for people cutting the corner between Pomorado and Espola. They don’t even try to hide, they will just be standing there next to thier bike holding a radar gun with one hand and waving you to the side of the road with the other as soon as you round the last corner before Espola.
