Ramona, California Speed Traps
7th Street near I Street
Cops sit and wait on I Street, waiting for vehicles driving both directions on 7th Street. The limit is 25mph. Approaching south you have to drive up a steep hill, but that doesn’t seem to slow people down. Approaching north you go from a 40mph zone to 25 on one sharp curve. Most people stay at 40mph or more. I have to cross 7th at I Street to get to a friend’s house. I always see cops catching speeders.
State Highway 67 near Mount Woodson
Both north and southbound. Officer blends his car with vehicles on southbound side, parked to hike the mountain.
Also at very large dirt turn out on the curve less then 1 mile south of there
State Highway East and West on the 67 near Achie Moore Rd. Mt. Woodson
They sit on each side of the Rd and as you are leaving Ramona it opens up into 2 lanes so you go to pass and they are sitting on the right and left sides of the Hwy. Behind the trees. Then when you are coming into Ramona, you start heading down hill you tend to pick up speed and then it is to late they already got ya on the radar. So slow down..
