Live Oak Canyon Road At the Nursery

Redlands, CaliforniaMar 04, 20101 Comments

Motorcycle cop likes to sit in the drive way of this nursery, and wait for people to illigally pass other vehicles. (This entire road from the freeway to San Tim is a double yellow no passing line.) They also get you for speeding coming out of the last curve into the straight away. But because this nursery has trees and shrubs along the driveway, you can not see no matter which direction you are coming from. The speed limit is 45. Better keep that in mind. They have not gotten me, but I have seen them coming out of there 5 times and get others.

RPD will sit here along the north side shielded by orange groves. Many drivers will speed or attempt to illegally pass slow moving vehicles in this area.

5th Avenue near Marion Road

There is an officer that sits on a motorcycle behind the bushes in a driveway right behind the 25 mile an hour speed limit sign heading east at about 1428 5th street.

State Highway 30 near Interstate 10

Redlands, CaliforniaMar 08, 20070 Comments

Connecting road between westbound Interstate 10 and northbound CA route 30. Motorcycle cop or occasional cruiser will hide on the blind side of the curve behind some of the roadside shrubbery. The real catch is that the speed limit on that section of the 10 is 70mph, and the connecting road is unmarked, but the cop will write it as a 55mph limit. So just by turning onto the connector, you’re 15mph over. I got written for 68mph in a 55, when the limit on the CA30 is 65, so I was technically 3 over for the CA30, and 2 under for the I10. I’ve seen this trap in operation dozens of times.

San Bernardino Avenue

I believe that.Redlands cops are the lowest paid in the area and must write tickets to support any raises coming their way. They are out in force on San Bernardino and most cars have radar on all of the time while they are driving around. They really like to park in front of the park by Orange/San Bndo Ave and catch cars coming up on their rear as they have rear radar units.
