Redondo Beach, California Speed Traps
Anza between Del Amo & 190th
PD will line up all along Anza on both side of the street between Del Amo and 190th. They line up mostly for speeders but also for people making a right turn on to Narrot Street between 7am – 10am. This is a no right turn time zone. PD is there mostly during the morning rush hour, but I’ve seen them there during the lunch hour also.
Catalina just past PCH
As you enter Redondo on Catalina from PCH, there is a stop sign in front of a bank and before the Post Office. RBPD officers sit in the bank parking lot and watch for cars rolling through the stop sign.
190th Eastbound at Beryl
Officers are waiting at the base of this large hill and can’t be seen until you have already increased your speed above the limit.
Inglewood Avenue near Grant Avenue
Motorcycle cops sit on the NW corner and wait for people speeding and turning right onto Grant. There is a stop sign and a lot of people roll it when the light is green. I’ve seen them stop one car after another and tow many vehicles away.
Paseo De La Playa Street near Calle De Sirenas Street
A motorcycle cop hides on Calle De Sirenas and tickets north and south bound traffic on Paseo De La Playa both for speeding and for failure to come to a full and complete stop at the stop signs in that intersection. Very hard to see the cop on Calle De Sirenas from the intersection.
