Riverside, California Speed Traps
Garfield Avenue near Van Buren Avenue
The section of Garfield between Jackson St. and Van Buren. Posted speed is 25 MPH and their is often an officer their somewhere with his radar gun.
Washington Avenue near Van Buren Avenue
The Riv. Co. sherrif patrols this area, just as you are coming down the hill on Washington(and picking up speed)he is sitting there, and when you spot him it’s too late. The speed limit is 45 which is not reasonable for that road. He is not very forgiving, so don’t have an attitude.
Brockton Avenue near Central Avenue
Motorcycle cop always hiding out in the Wood Street District. so slow down please otherwise He will get you.
Hawarden Drive near Oleander Drive
Enforcement is not predictable, but often enough to warrant watching your speed on a regular basis.
Gentian Street near Wood Street
Anybody living in the area knows about this route to avoid Van Buren/Wood intersection. This street has Speed Limit signs that also clock you (no enforcement though) and flash Slow Down as you go by. As you are reading this flashing sign the CHP may be using the radar on you. He has perfected his hiding technique by hiding behind a large double power pole which shields his push bar(a disctinct feature of cruisers).
