Riverside, California Speed Traps
Bodewin Ct & Overlook Pkwy
Motorcycle cop been hiding several parts on overlook. usually after Wyndeham Hill Dr. Since I live on the top of hill I have seen several tickets given in the last couple of weeks and have had several close calls. My radar detector saved my butt….
Cactus Avenue
North & South Bound on Cactus Ave./Canyon Crest Dr. just north of Country Club Drive. The motorcycle cops (usually 2 of them) sit on a side street at the bottom of the steep hill leading to Canyon Crest Golf Course. Speed limit is 40 mph and it is after a very steep hill. Hard to maintain speed going downhill. There have been many fatal accidents there in the past couple of years however. Best to slow down going down the hill.
Central Avenue
This cop will hang out in the elementary school parking lot exit or entrance, or one of the small streets near the school. There are tons of trees everywhere so you don’t see him clearly.
It’s a 40 mph zone.
Iowa Avenue
University and Iowa speed/traffic enforcement trap is a devastating punch to the already taxed citizens of Riverside. Standing near this trap, you will find it going off once ever 2-3 minutes, each ticket earning the city nearly $400 per violation. All that is required to earn a ticket is to not pause more than 3 seconds before making a right turn, making a left turn after the light turns from yellow to red (2 seconds) or a straight proceeding, etc.
This is a heinous intersection and I recommend you boycott all businesses within the University complex while this atrocity is in place.
NOBODY VOTED FOR THESE CAMERAS!
E/B Vanburen Avenue near Etiwanda Avenue
