Rocklin, California Speed Traps

Anywhere on Rocklin Road, people fly by the police station (speed limit is 35) and don’t even realize that they have done it. Watch out around Sierra College and where the ramps onto 80 are. I have seen enduro/motorcycle traps right by the ramps heading towards Sierra College.

Watch out for motorcycles!
As you come down the hill towards the high school. First on top of the hill, in the island usually one Motorcycle behind the bushes on the right. Further down the hill, on the right in the bushes again, another motorcycle hideout.
There was one week where I saw a motorcycle on this hill every night. They don’t seem to run traps here quite as often anymore, but they still do. The hill is so steep that if you let your car roll you will easily go well over the posted speed of 40. They like to take advantage of this and wait at the bottom of the hill.

Multiple Hwy patrol cars line up along Hwy 80 between Rocklin and Newcastle and pick off cars one by one! Usually 5-6 cars at a time.

Cop sits under Blue Oaks overpass and catches drivers coming around the corner by hiding in shadow of overpass.
