Rosamond Boulevard near Interstate 14
Rosamond Blvd west of the freeway. Mostly patrolled by Kern County Sheriff’s dept. These guys love writing tickets in the school zones and are infamous for writing whether or NOT "Children are Present." Speed limit of 45MPH when NO children are present, 25MPH when they are. Make the cop count and specify on the citation the number of children present and where they are. (but only if you’re in the right!) If none are present, you’ve already beat him. I did!
Rosamond Boulevard near High School
Local CHPs and County Officers will sit in wait at the High School for speeders moving down Rosamond Blvd. Sometimes using radar, sometimes just listening for overspirited drivers with loud exhaust systems. Speed limit here is 35mph although most motorists commonly travel 50+mph.
Rosamond Boulevard near ARCO Station
CHPs have been seen waiting at the corner of Rosamond Blvd. and Glendower St. at the AM/PM ARCO Station, clocking motorists coming off the northbound freeway. Care should be taken to reduce speed to the boulevard’s 35mph limit. Please decelerate on the ramp rather than on the freeway.
