Mounted red-light at minor intersection that is right after a main intersection (Fullerton Rd.) Lots of traffic in and out of local plazas. CHP sit in Jiffy Lube / KFC parking lot.
Colima Road near Fairway Drive
CHP and LASD congregate here every morning in the Canyon Point Marketplace at Starbucks (north side of street). 3-6 LASD and at least 2 CHP are not unusual. Radar is masked by Stater Brother’s and Albertson’s supermarket automatic doors and bank alarms.
Colima Road near Nogales Street
Colima is a haven for CHP cruisers and motors. Always active in the morning, late afternoon, and on weekends. Usually in teams of 4-5, although I have seen lone CHP cruisers patrol the stretch through Rowland Hts.
