San Gabriel, California Speed Traps

Going south on San Gabriel Blvd, the speed limit is 40 pmh and is Posted just south of Duarte Rd in San Marino, but the sign is hidden by a tree. 50 yards south the city changes to San Gabriel and the speed reduces to 35mph. On top of that you are going down hill. The police are often out in force with radar guns.

Between Las Tunas Drive and Duarte Road. Either a patrol car cruises up and down San Gabriel with a radar gun, or a motorcycle cop sits in someones driveway with a radar gun pointing either north or south. The speed limit between Las Tunas and just north of Longden is only 35 miles per hour and then increases to 40. Watch out along this strip. They’re aggressive.
