San Jose, California Speed Traps
Leigh Avenue North @San Carlos
Heading Northbound on leigh avenue (Parkmoor towards San Carlos) An officer is very regularly parked at the gas station on the corner. This location is very well hidden and is not noticeable until you are next to the COP.
Lincoln Ave.
North bound Lincloln just before the stop light for Coe Ave. Motorcycle cops park either between cars or up on the sidewalk and aim south bound. They are also now using Photo radar around town. They use a white minivan with a couple of white strobe lights mounted on the roof.
Stevens Creek BLVD and Cypress St
Typically between 10am to 3pm or so there is a motorcycle cop sitting on the sidewalk under some trees on Cypress St to catch speeders on Stevens Creek going either direction. Use caution when speeding or trying to make a yellow light. I work nearby and want to see no one caught there.
Hwy 101N Just Before Yerba Buena Exit
On the left hand side of the highway, there is a wall for the median of the highway. Right before yerba buena, the shoulder gets wider, and there is a little place for a bike cop to hide between the narrow shoulder wall and the wider shoulder wall while he radars you…be careful.
Near the intersection of 101 and yerbabuena road
The road from the silver creek intersection towards 101 access ramp is so steep, it’s pretty difficult to control the speed. There are always bike cops waiting for you at the down end of the steep hill.
