San Luis Obispo, California Speed Traps
CHP patrol car just sits at the elevated on ramp. You can’t see him until you are past the on ramp.
Southbound Hwy 101 just after the Cuesta Grade (a.k.a. Cuesta Pass) right after the lane merge makes 3 lanes into 2, and before the San Luis Obispo city sign there is an area off the right shoulder that is recessed that the CHP is frequently parked in clocking vehicle speeds. You won’t see them through the draping tree limbs until it’s too late. Known to give citations for 1 m.p.h. over speed limit! Most active for morning commuters, and afternoons, but not at night.
Motercycle cop sits hidden behind a rock wall scanning trafic.
As highway 1 (southbound; from Morro Bay into SLO)turns into Santa Rosa and goes from 55 to 35 mph right before Foothill.
CHP Lays in Wait all along the "Grade."
