Exiting 101 and going up Las Positas toward State Street the speed zone drops immediately when you pass a school on the leFort If kids are present it goes from 45 to 25 instantly…. whammo. They got me. Funny thing is I never see kids walking across the street, the parents all deliver and pick them up in SUVs.

Las Positas Street near Mac Caw Drive

As you go west from State Street, up hill, sitting right over the hill, is a cop on a motorcycle with a radar waiting to get you. This is a speed trap b/c you have to accelerate to get up the hill, and then theres a downhill, so of course you’re going over speed for theat tiny stretch, no time to slow down thats when they get you! Theres a school at the next west light and even when school is not in session, they get you for unsafe speed because of its vicinity. ALWAYS do trial by declaration to get it dropped.
