Santa Clara, California Speed Traps

San Jose PD will sit on the sidewalk hiding behind the Bank of America sign on a pair of motorbikes and radar you as you come down the overpass or offramp from 880/17 towards Winchester Blvd westbound as you’re passing right in front of Valley Fair Mall. They’ve been there mornings only twice in the last 2 years.

At times there will be a speed read-out sign, I’ve seen a police car parked behind the sign to catch motorists going southboud/eastbound. He uses a radar gun, and he usually leaves it on, so my V1 picks up 2 sources. 🙂

It goes 35 to 25 to 35 in less then a quarter of a mile. A cop will walk out in front of your car. THats the most danger present.

after the light next to costco, if you dont get a red light make sure to slow down around the corner. usually a bike cop will be hiding out in buisness parking lots. got me good!

On Lafayette near the 237 overpass is a BMX track with a chain linked fence driveway. I often see two motorcycle cops hiding out in the driveway. The combination of the way the road curves and driveway hides them until its too late.
