State Highway 17 Southbound near Summit Road
Descending the mountain on Hwy 17 headed toward Santa Cruz, shortly after the summit, there will be a large sign indicating how fast you are traveling and reminding you that the speed limit is 45. SLOW DOWN at that curve! There are usually cops waiting within a mile of that sign and will use its information to their advantage.
Sims Road near La Madrona Drive
Motorcycle cops sit in my driveway on Sims Road and radar cars coming from Graham Hill Road. We’ve seen as many as 15 arrests in an hour. You wouldn’t expect it but the speed limit is 25, and they enforce it.

Bay Street near King Street
Cops parked in driveway of a house on King St and use radar on cars coming down Bay from just around the bend. ALWAYS slow down before coming within view of that house just to be safe. Generally cops are only there during the day, specifically afternoon rush hour.
30th Avenue near portola Drive
cops hide in private drive way. You can spot them if your going down 30th towards portola dr. If your going in either direction on portola, BE CAREFUL!
