Saratoga, California Speed Traps

Prospect is a sketchy road, but I see a cop posting right near that church everyday

Speed zone incorrectly set by DOT.CA.GOV at 30 mph. The Engineering & Traffic Survey did not follow the 85 percentile rule in the engineering survey dated October 29, 2006. Survey# 4-scc-9-0.00/7.40 from District #4.

Officer is there ALL the time. There are two locations on the right side of the highway (heading south), where the sound wall is interrupted and thus provides a perfect hole to hide in. Is it a classic Speed Trap (the kind they supposedly outlawed), wherein there is NO POSSIBLY WAY that you can see the cop until after you pass him (and the guy the I see all the time is not very nice). The break in the sound wall is smooth enough that you don’t notice it until it is too late. Good Luck 🙂

Sheriff sets up in Driveway for Winery , they will get you in a/m and p/m during commute.Posted 35 mph. The straights here make it easy to speed.
