Reid Lane across from Saratoga High

Saratoga, CaliforniaMar 18, 20100 Comments

A motorcycle sheriff sometimes sits either in the driveway on the S side of Reid Ln and Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd intersection. He will sometimes change driveways and move further away from S-S Rd, to the west. The most common times are school day mornings from 7:00am to 8:30am. In addition to ticketing speeders (it’s a 25mph zone that looks like it would be a 35mph zone) on Reid Ln, he will also ticket those who cross the bike lane solid white line on the S. side of Reid Ln before it becomes a dashed line. The act moves to the N side of Reid on some afternoons.

There is a long flat stretch heading north after Old Adobe Road. The Sheriff sets up across from the above location where you can’t see them until they already have a bead on you!

1) Sheriff (green puffy jacket) on white motorcycle likes to sit at corner vacant rental house front porch facing up (West) Rt. 9 with radar. It’s just before you come into town from the mountains. Look straight ahead as you head east down Route 9 after the last right hand bend before you get into Saratoga village.
The house is on the right and just past Hakone Gardens. On nice sunny days, he’s there.

2) Have seen motorcycle sheriff at Congress Springs turn out just across from Sanborn Rd. pulling cars/motorcycles over there.
