On Sepulveda Blvd going south (uphill) motorcycle cops on the side of the road pointing radar guns at cars going faster than the 40 mph speed limit. I drive this route every morning and see folks pull over because it’s really easy to speed up that hill.

Motorcycle cops sit & wait for speeders

Chandler Blvd. between Van Nuys and Coldwater

Sherman Oaks, CaliforniaOct 04, 20100 Comments

Motorcycle officers with radar hiding in driveways or behind parked cars in East and West bound directions. More likely monitoring east-bound traffic in the morning and west-bound traffic in the afternoon. LAPD is very strict with speed limit even though they usually allow a 5MPH margin within speed limit. The officers on this section of road will ticket you for going just one or two miles per hour over limit.

Corner of Victory and Whitsett

Driving Eastbound on Victory Blvd. toward the 170 Fwy, there are several motorcycle units hiding in the morning between 8:00 am and 11 am, right before you get to Whitsett. They hide behind a small palm tree on the end of an island separating the residential district from Victory Blvd. at Babcock street. I drive this strech of road every morning on my way to work and have to say…The police make a TON of revenue here. There are always several cars getting tickets every time I pass. It makes me sick to my stomach. The police must love this fishing hole and unfortunately….the motorists are biting. Slow down here folks..You have better things to do with your paycheck than give it to the police.
