South Pasadena, California Speed Traps

The cops park up in the driveways or under trees if it is really sunny and come up behind you before you are aware of them. There is a hill just before Orange Grove, and you can’t see them until you come over the hill.

They will get you going both ways. You can’t see the officer hiding on Maple if you are going toward Fair Oaks as you enter South Pasadena from Alhambra on Huntington Drive. They use the laser type speed detector. They team up using motorcycles and patrol cars. The limit is 35 and they say 41 is the safe speed…so at 45 and over you get ticketed. I have seen this trap for years and they get plenty of drivers. They got me and I know it’s there.
