Del Amo Rd between Western and Crenshaw
usually motorcycle cops hiding behind office buildings or parked cars
235th and 237th Sts. between Crenshaw and Arlington
Residential neighborhood. Both streets are one lane each way with parking on both sides and many houses on 55′ wide lots. Speed limit is 25 mph, but many drivers go much faster. Many residents complain. Hearings were help, and the City agreed to step up enforcement. Along 237th St. the officer is on a motorcycle on one of the side streets, in plain view, but by the time you see him, he’s got your number. No side streets along 235th St, which is locally called the "235th Street expressway."
Sepulveda and Knob Hill
A Torrance PD is parked in the parking lot entrance of the Temple Menorah (sp) just waiting to nab anyone who rushes up the hill. It’s a blind hill from both sides so once you see him/her, it’s often too late.
Del Amo Blvd
Motor units are at this location from 7 am to 10 am and 12 to 3 pm. I have heard them on my police scanner and even went to the location and watched them for a couple of days. They have received a lot and I mean a lot of complaints for this area. They are there everyday. And they do show up for court. And also nail you by visual estimation.
