Tracy, California Speed Traps

Coming from the city limits into town there is an overpass. The mph goes from 45 to 35. As you travel over the overpass into town there is a CHP officer with a speed gun. Don’t be the first person coming over. I went to pay my ticket and saw a CHP giving someone else a ticket at the same spot.

There is a motor unt that sits behind a tree near the corner of Tracy Blvd and one block north of Sycamore. The posted speed limit if 40, but have seen the traffics normal speed is around 50 plus. including myself.

Heading down Corral Hollow from Valpico toward 11th st the speed limit is 40. Just befor the road widens to 2 lanes a police car sits on the righthand side in the dark.

This trap is located on Tesla Road. Commonly referred to as "the backroad," motorists travel this route to avoid the Altamont when driving to the bay area. I’ve never been caught personally but, I routinely see motorcycle cops having 2 and 3 motorists pulled aside, just prior to the intersection of Tesla and Vasco Road. But in all honesty, many motorists are driving at ridiculously high speeds, as if they have a death wish.

South of Schulte, they will hide beside the house where the two lane portion of road widdens, near the new housing development.
