Crosswalk on Lincoln at Vernon
Not a speed trap, but a trap to catch people who don’t stop for people on the crosswalk. The police will wait in between the indoor swap meet and Baby Blues or near Tasty Goody and wait while plain clothes police walk back and forth on the crosswalk. I notice this more often on sunny, beach weekends.
Palms Blvd & Maplewood Ave
This is Mar Vista, part of L.A. City. The muggers lay in wait north of Palms on Maplewood. They wait for rolling stops of vehicles on Palms. Today there were two cop cars, one north, one south. And they were ticketing victims who were barely rolling. I guess the city needs more money.
Abbott Kinney Boulevard near Between Venice and Washington Blvds.
On motorcycle hiding between cars or on side streets off of Abbott Kinney between Venice and Washington Blvds. Traffic moves between 35-40 mph with a speed limit of 30.
