West Los Angeles, California Speed Traps
On Olympic B. between Beverly Glen and Selby
one or two officers on motorcycles sit in a driveway. People coming out of L.A. (Century City) going west have been going bumper to bumper, after Beverly Glen, the road widens and people naturally pick up speed. With no signals, they gain speed and the not too clearly posted speed limit is 35 miles!!
Tickets are given out just like candy. Speed should be more clearly posted or the speed limit raised at least to 40 miles.
olympic blvd. between century city west and overland blvd.
motorcycle cops sit in hiding on private property driveways along olympic blvd. with radar guns. the cops work in groups of 4 on each side of olympic. they pull people over onto the side streets to issue the tickets.
wilshire blvd. between Beverly Glen and Selby
There are always 2 motorcycle cops with radar hidden between the
tall residential bldgs. usually between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Speed limit is 30 mph. They have radar!
Olympic Blvd Century City
Olympic Blvd East bound past Overland heading towards Century City. Always 2 motorcycle officers hiding at the curve. Will pull you over at Century Park East to write tickets. I see this all day long from my office window. Sometimes 15-20 cars pulled over per day. Mostly weekdays due to heavy commuter traffic.
