Edwards Street near Iroquois Avenue

Westminster, CaliforniaSep 12, 20070 Comments

I was the only car in area, driving alone and heading north on Edwards. Most cars go over the 35 mph limit when safe. After turning right on Garden Grove Blvd., a motorcycle cop who was hiding on Edwards zipped up behind me and gave me a speeding ticket. I feel I was a target driving alone and the only car around. I won’t drive here anymore.

Heading northbound on Goldenwest Street descending from the freeway overpass one’s speed naturally increases causing you to exceed the 40 MPH limit. A motorcycle officer is sitting in a parking lot on the right side just beyond the base of the overpass. Enforcement is most common during the last week of the month.

McFadden Avenue near Brookhurst Street

Westminster, CaliforniaAug 31, 20070 Comments

Eastbound McFadden Avenue just before Brookhurst Street in the SCE driveway entrance, a policeman is waiting to catch you in the act. Twice in one month I was pulled over for going 50 mph in a 40 mph zone. The cop recognized me and my last name and gave me the second ticket anyway. This hiding place is a total speed trap and both of my tickets were at months end. Hmmmmm…..gee….what a gig this is.
