Trask Avenue near State Highway 39 — Beach Blvd

Westminster, CaliforniaMar 22, 20060 Comments

One, and occasionally two, motorcycle officers hide in an apartment building driveway next to the Korean Catholic Church parking lot on the north side of Trask between Beach Blvd and Hoover St, usually during morning hours. They are not always present, but when they are, it’s usually for the entire the business week (M-F). Posted speed limit is 35 mph.

Springdale Street near Garden Grove Boulevard

The Springdale overpass of Garden Grove Blvd. The speed limit is posted 35 which is very hard to maintain going down the hill in either direction. There is a motor officer very often on both sides of the hill. One side he sits on the sidewalk up near the school and the other in the coin operated car wash near the bushes. By the time you see him, your nailed. People often do 45-50mph which seems reasonable but the posted is 35 so be warned.

Westminster Street near Beach Boulevard

Almost always a cop on motorcycle, sits up on a pedestrian walk way next to a business building and creeps forward just enought to use his radar-gun. Extremly hard to see unless passing him or behind him.

Motorcycle cops "hide" behind poles…fairly easy to spot if you’re looking for them, but if not, they’ll getcha! Flash your signals on and off if you see one to let opposing traffic know…they appreciate it! (i know i do!)

Goldenwest Street near 405 Freeway

Westminster, CaliforniaApr 16, 20040 Comments

An officer on a motorcycle sits in a small business center, on the right side of Goldenwest, just north of the 405 freeway overpass with a radar gun catching people as they come down the hill toward Hazard Street.
