Wheatland, California Speed Traps

If you sneeze or blink you will miss going through this town that time forgot and apparently for good reasons. The Police there are like out of the Dukes of Hazard. The town is very tiny and they depend on you to speed to get tunnel vision. The one that pulled me over was a tall guy who looked like he was part oriental. Dumb as a bag of rocks and literally had crumbs and food stains on his uniform shirt. He initially locked him self out of his patrol car and I had to wait for another one to open the door for him. The DUKE BOYS had plenty of time to play until this dufus was able to get into his car.

This should have been posted long ago. Highway 65 was a speed trap for the longest time, and now that neighboring Placer county is the county "with the largest growth rate" in California, Wheatland is way behind with their tiny two-lane. The limit is 35 trhough town. Tough to do it after going 60. It is worth slowing down before the 35 sign.
