Winnetka, California Speed Traps

I haven’t seen many times however they are there from time to time. They park in the gated entrance to the overpass and clock people coming north or south bound on Mason near Vanowen. $500 ticket and maybe increse to $1000.00 Rediculous!

Northbound after Victory Blvd. and Metroline crossing (another enforced area in itself). Heavy around the crossing of canal (L.A.River) to other enforcement zone north at the church, which has been a trap all 12 years I’ve lived near it). They hide in the shadows morning time on east side and west side in afternoons!

Motor officers sit in church parking lot NE cnr ints with sign and cars in lot for concealment. They work N/B traffic for speeders using speedgun type hand-held radars. Usually out at beginning of day shift when lot is shady.

Going north or south on Corbin Ave. between Vanowen and Parthenia 1 mile stretch. Motor cops have radar guns out daily. Keep speed at 35 and let the others go by.
