On Highway 113 at Rd 29 or Rd 27

Woodland, CaliforniaSep 09, 20100 Comments

Usually on a Friday, there will be 3-4 CHP’s under or by the overpass at one of these 2 roads, 1 CHP will be holding a speed gun and the other’s are there to nab you when he clocks you going more than 65!! This happens quite often, so make sure you only go 65 between Road 25 and Road 29!! Also be careful around Davis on 113 because the cops that nail you there are unmarked SUV’s!

Gibson Road near College Street

During "school hours" there is a motorcycle cop that sits in front of Gibson school. He is almost always there between 2 and 4 and sits in between parked cars so you can’t see him. The speed limit drops from 35 to 25 during school, but even when the parking lot is empty and there are NO children present he takes advantage and writes tickets like CRAZY.

East Street near Gibson Road

A police officer usually sits in the parking lot of Movies 5 and waits for someone coming down the far end of east street to be speeding. the street goes from 50 or so to 40 and when it does he is there to make sure you do as well. its easy to speed there as there are not really any stops from the country road to the gibson east intersection.

Gibson Road near College Street

The area is posted 25 mph due to the presence of Gibson Middle School on Gibson Road. If you are driving past the school in the morning, a motorcycle cop will be waiting there, usually on the same side as the school. Got ticketed going 36 mph in the 25 mph zone and have seen many others ticketed there as well. It’s very easy to go over the speed limit, as the road is two lanes in either direction and goes from 35 mph to 25 mph very quickly.
