Arvada, Colorado Speed Traps
Alkire Street near 75th Avenue
This speedtrap is right in front of Van Arsdale Elementary School where the speed limit is 20 mph during school pick up and drop off. Be careful not to exceed 22 mph or they will ticket. A steep incline just south of the intersection doesn’t help. I see a need to keep things safe at this area because of the school, but 20 mph is rediculously slow.
Ralston Road near Miller Street
Traveling on Ralston Rd just past Miller St. a Police Motorcycle/car sits back a little on a side street as the street curves and the speed limit drops right there from 45 MPH to 35MPH.
72nd Avenue near carr Street
Motorcycle cop sits behind a bush at the park near 72nd and Carr.. always on the Southeast side
McIntyre Street near 58th Drive
Sheriff’s Deputies between 44th and 64th Aves. in various turn-outs in early a.m., a.m. rush hour, midday, and p.m. rush hour. Speed Limit is 35mph and with some hills present it’s very easy to coast to 45mph. Steady income earner for the county.
Easley Road near Jeff Boldt Avenue
Sheriff’s Deputies south of 60th on Easley in various turn-outs in early a.m.,
a.m. rush hour, and p.m. rush hour. Speed Limit is 30mph and with some hills present it’s very easy to coast to 40mph. Upper-class homes back to Easley and wealthy residents have a lot of pull with the county. Steady income earner for the county.
