E. Hampden Avenue near Buckley Road

On several occasions I have seen police hiding under a tree at The Waterford Apt. Complex on Hampden Ave. When you think they are not there that’s when they catch you. I take this route at least 4 times a week and I was giving a speeding ticket for going 12 miles over the speed limit of 40 going downhill. The police hides under the tree uphill with a Radar Gun and comes running into the street with a clipboard that has a stop sign on it. I could have ran him over if I was not paying attention as I thought it was a madman running across the street dressed all in black. They are constantly hiding under the tree so beware as they are uphill when you are driving, so you cannot see them!

A motorcycle officer sits at the entrance to The Villas subdivision at S. Buckley Avenue just north of E. Orchard on the west side of the street. I’ve seen him there very frequently around 1:30 PM on weekdays checking southbound traffic speed. There is a slight downhill grade at that point, and the speed limit is 40 MPH which no one ever observes unless this guy is sitting there with his radar gun.

Enforcement is usually sitting on the north side of Alameda where the street curves into Tower Rd. Usually there in late morning and during rush hour.

The Aurora police has one officer sit in the back of a minivan along the side of the road with the hatch open getting them as they come over the top of a long rolling hill. The officer then radios ahead and you are pulled over about a mile down the highway. The police line up 8 to 10 cop cars on an onramp that you cannot see until you are right on top of it by then you have already been tagged.

They have a Photo Radar set up here on the side where the fire station is. If you go barely past the yellow, you will be mailed a speeding ticket. $70-$100 and no points off your license.
