East bound Hampden Ave between Picadilly and Gun Club Road

Aurora, ColoradoMay 04, 20100 Comments

Sheriff’s vehicles posted between Picadilly and Gun Club Road. Some times there are several in the mornings. The speed limit was raised in the last few months from 40 to 45 but they still patrol on a regular basis.

Alameda going west close to Mississippi area

That particular section of Alameda going westbound is a steep decline. Generally they’re on motorcyles waiting about half way down the hill with the radar guns pointed at you. On the rare occasion, late at night, they’ll park on the east bound side at the top of the hill.

Hampden Ave & Parker Road

Hampden Ave west bound. Cops on motorcycles will sit on the "on ramp" to Parker Rd. or they will sit up the hill on Parker by the turn to get to the dam road. I’ve seen bikes and cruisers.

Quincy Ave and Richfield St

Aurora, ColoradoApr 08, 20100 Comments

Cop sits at entrance to Chaparral Apartments on N side of Quincy, facing south. This is just before you reach Richfield if you’re headed west on Quincy. Drivers are coming down a hill toward the apartments and by the time they see the cruiser and slow down, it’s too late. I live right near here and see this happen quite frequently…speed limit is 40 on Quincy.
