Broadway & Leehill

Cops on motorcycles hide in the parking lot of the North Boulder Center of Performing Arts (bustop) and get cars going north on Broadway. They will stop you for going eight over the limit. Watch out, Boulder has 15 motorcycle cops that are out during the day and night! This one has gotten me more than once!

119 going southwest, 47th street (Hwy 53) underpass

There were two cops with motorbikes underneath the bridge on the right side pointing their speed gun.

Due to the shadow, dark cloth and small profile (as compared to a car), they were very hard to see.

Foothills Parkway, heading North, between Pearl St exit and Valmont St light

Boulder, ColoradoJun 04, 20030 Comments

This is one of Boulder PD’s favorite end-of-the-month fund raising spots. You pass the Pearl St. exit, crest the hill, cross the bridge, and then he/she’ll be there tucked in below the bridge on your right. I believe that Foothills ridiculously drops the limit to 40mph right in there, so be prepared to crawl along.

93, south part of Boulder, where Broadway ends

I’ve seen cop cars sitting in the parking lot (maybe vetinarian’s parking lot). I’m not sure if they are watching northbound and southbound 93 traffic. But watch out for them. I know the speed limit has a drastic change coming in, as well as a school nearby, so the impetus is obvious.

north bound 28th Street north of Baseline Road

Boulder, ColoradoJul 01, 20010 Comments

West bound US 36 turns into North bound 28th Street at Baseline Road. The speed limit drop from 65mph to 55mph approaching Baseline Road and then down to 40mph on the curve to 28th Street. The sign is not very visible. Then it drops to 35mph! The Po Po sits on the right side of 28th Street hidden behind a sign pole as you approach Colorado Avenue. They are usually motorcycle cops with radar and lidar. Its easy pickings for the cops. These motorcycles are everywhere in Boulder, it seems, and I see them everyday.
