State Highway 287 near Saulsbury Street

Broomfield, ColoradoMar 04, 20080 Comments

Cop car sits on Saulsbury south of 120th/287. Radar eastbound traffic as they come around bend at merge of 120th and 287. The speed limit is 35 but traffic flow is often 45. They sit right outside my building so I see it happen a lot. Be careful! They are tax collectors not safety officers.

This road runs behind the high school, they often sit in driveway of the church. If you turn on Daphne, they are there as well and the limit is 15 mph during school start and end times.

US Highway 287 near Laurel Street

Broomfield, ColoradoOct 17, 20070 Comments

Westbound traffic on Hwy 287/120th Ave heading toward Wadsworth can expect to see a patrol car parked in the business parking lot on the NW corner at Laurel as they drive around the bend. Speed limit is 35 where other parts of this hwy adjust between 40, 45, or 55 within 2 miles of this location. It’s still lined with commercial and is split 4 lane, so people don’t realize limit has dropped to 35. You won’t see the police car until you come around the bend by the brick wall and it will be too late.

W. Midway Boulevard near Industrial Lane

Broomfield, ColoradoAug 20, 20071 Comments

This is a Frontage road, North of I-36, that runs parallel to I-36, and is North East of the Flatirons Mall. I saw 3 motorcycle LEOs, and one car, sitting at the top of the hill, so they could get folks from either direction. Speed limit is posted as 35MPH. Pretty low, given that there are hardly any side streets, or businesses, and that there is absolutely no residences anywhere near there.
