Chelton from Fountain to Airport
Long open stretch of road with a low speed limit and plenty of hiding spots for 2 and 4 wheel cops.
Eastbound Pikes Peak Avenue between Chelton & Academy
The speed limit is 30mph. A cop usually parks on University Drive and waits to nail anybody coming down the steep hill of Pikes Peak between Chelton and Academy. I’ve been stopped here once before and ticketed.
East Platte under Academy overpass
When driving down Platte going under Academy Blvd, often you will see PD. Either one Chevy Impala or 2-3 motorcycles are commonly seen. They sit in the median behind either side of the bridge pillars so visual from a distance is difficult. My advice…go the speed limit under the bridge.
