Deckers, Colorado Speed Traps

Hwy 96 going along the South Platte River into Deckers. State Patrol are putting the heat on sport bikers. Zero tolerance and some level of "harassment" seems to be the norm these days. To the point of "we know why you’re here and we don’t want you here". So be careful and know you’re being profiled if you’re not on a Harley.

A very short passing zone. Speed trap is just past the south end of the uphill passing zone. Speed limit is 35, rural mountian hiway. I found myself running out of room, sped up to complete the pass safely. As I merged back into the right lane, there they were. One car facing each way.
