Fort Collins, Colorado Speed Traps
Douglas Road
Larimer county sheriff patrolling from Country club road to Douglas road. Two motorcycle cops. Traveling with Radar on catching cars approaching from the opposite direction using Pulse instant-on radar.
Ziegler Road near Timberwood Drive
The City of Fort Collins Police like to enforce the speed limit going north on Ziegler away from Fossil Ridge High School. The officer will park in an unmarked van at the entrance to Intel and aim his speed gun south down Ziegler waiting for speeding people particularly around lunch time and around 3:00pm when school gets out at Fossil Ridge.
Ketcher Road near Strauss Cabin Road
This is a popular speed trap for both Fort Collins Police and the Larimer County Sheriff going east or west bound on Ketcher. This is another area that targets high school students. The speed limit is 40mph but could easily be 45mph+. The sheriff patrols at the bottom of the hill near the interstate and the FC Police patrol about the hill near Zach Elementry.
Ziegler Road near Rock Creek Drive
Sometimes an unmarked police van will sit here and target traffic along Ziegler in both directions. Make sure you keep your speed at 40mph.
Lady Moon Drive
Lady Moon has a horrible speed limit. It is a 30mph, but is a wide 1 mile long brand new stretch with almost no side streets. The speed limit could easily be 45mph. Avoid this street all together if you can.
