Santa Fe Avenue near Oxford Road

Glendale, ColoradoJul 25, 20081 Comments

As you travel south bound on SantaFe approaching Oxford, there is a tiny stretch of Glendale in between Denver and Littleton. There is routinely (2-4) times a week a speedtrap for either northbound or south bound lanes. I’m always heading south so, here’s the description. There is a driveway between 2 large prefab metal buildings on the right just at the bottom of the hill approaching Oxford. The speed limit is 45, but everyone does 55-60, and the cop sits right in that driveway nearly hidden by the corner of the building in front of him. Anyone who breaks ahead of the pack gets nailed while everyone else sails by at relatively the same speed. I’ve been nabbed there and the cop was a real jerk too.

Leetsdale Drive near Alameda Avenue

While travelling eastbound after crossing Colorado Blvd, where Leetsdale & Alameda split off from each other, on Leetsdales South side of the street a cruiser sits in the parking lot blending in with normal parked cars, as you come around a curve the speed limit is 35, which is low for that street, they try to catch people coming into Glendale from downtown during the Late Night, you can avoid them by going up alameda instead of through Glendale via Leetsdale.
