Sheridan Blvd at Center Ave., driving south.

Got a ticket here yesterday and also 10 years ago. I refuse to drive on Sheridan ever again – Will take Wadsworth and the crowds. Cops wait at the bottom of the hill and ticket you for driving over the ridiculous 35 speed limit. There are no stop signs or lights for 10 blocks, so it’s unnatural to drive that slow. They used a laser gun and said I was going 50, giving me 4 points. I’m so upset, I’m ready to sell my home and move out of Colorado. It’s really not livable anymore. I don’t feel safe driving, because of the increased number of speed traps. They’re stealing my money and my insurance premiums will be going through the roof. After 20 years here, I’m Done with Denver.

Wheat Ridge, CO has been running a speed trap on Wadsworth Blvd both North and South bound. Even at night with no lights on, in the dark, which I thought is illegal!!!! BEWARE!!!!

Harlan and 1st Ave

Patrol cars will hide in the side street approaching Harlan from the East. They will have motorcycle cops coming in the other direction. 1st avenue approaching Harlan is preceded by an uphill climb. You will accelerate to go up hill and when you reach the top of the hill and the road flattens, the motorcycle cops are there to stop you as you begin to deccelerate. The 1st avenue speed limit is 30 MPH. This is definitely a corrupt practice as the patrol car cannot be seen as the car is accelerating to climb the hill but htey are there as the motorcycle cops do not have radar guns. The practice is unethical.

The police sit on the street far enough back that no one can see them till it’s too late. Speed limit is 40 going to the hill and it’s easy to speed. Be very careful.
