Colorado, unincorporated west Jefferson county with a Littleton mailing address. Trap is on Bowles Ave between Simms and the 470 interchange, closer to the 470. Frequently the sheriff sits either on one of the business entrances or side streets such as Alkire, Coal Mine Rd. in this area. Believe both sight and radar are being utilized. Posted 40, usual is 45mph to 50mph with some in excess.

Be careful of going East on 285 coming from the mountains, I have seen cops on the Simms Street overhead bridge shooting laser on vehicles coming east under the bridge.

Deer Creek Canyon Road near South Valley Parkway

Typically 1 or 2 motorcycles and/or 1 squad car sit in the dirt parking lot on the south side of Deer Creek Canyon Road just past the turnoff to Deer Creek Open Space Park. They are normally interested in traffic headed west up into the foothills, but occasionally they are after traffic headed westbound. Normally on Saturday around midday, but occasionally on weekday mornings. Speedtrap is in place frequently.

Belleview Avenue near Ward Street

Heading eastbound on Belleview from C-470 you will find that the speed limit is 40mph. The trap is at a church parking lot on the right side of the Belleview(southside)just before Ward Street. The motorcycle officers usually sit in the parking lot entrance and wait concealed by a pine tree.

Bowles Avenue near Pierce and Lowell Street

Generally 2 to 4 motorcycle officers are sitting just off the southside of Bowles with a radar gun to catch people going well above the posted 35mph. Just above 35 may be let go but if you’re late, this isn’t the route for you.
