intersection of co. 8 and co. 74

Morrison, ColoradoJul 09, 20113 Comments

there maybe radar on the out skirts of morrison but no body is detecting any thing from the intersection of co. 8 and co. 74 from down town to the fort restaurant. This is a residential area and a posted 25mph but people are doing 50-65 mph. very very rarely do I ever see a cop in this area because their outside the town writing citations and not protecting any residents or visitors. So be cautious crossing the highway it could be fatal. The town does not like to write anything in town. So you should be safe at doing so.

Co 8 Morrison Rd near C-470

Morrison, ColoradoApr 09, 20111 Comments

West bound speed on Morrison Rd rapidly changes from 55 to 45 to 35 within 100 yards. Cops hide on a side road just shy of the C-470 interchange. Just hit for a 54 in 35 in the blink of an eye. They always patrol this area as an easy hit for drivers as they head into the town of Morrison.

S-285 right turnout a mile past CO Rte 8 on-ramp

Morrison, ColoradoMar 27, 20113 Comments

Morrison police haunt the broad turnout on the right where the sharpest curves into the canyon begin. The cruiser is almost hidden by the center retaining wall as you drive uphill, but in daylight you can see the strip of the cruiser’s white roof ahead just peeking above the concrete center wall

At night (and they DO hang there through the wee hours), it’s near impossible to see, and easing off into the upper 40’s mph range is the best approach

On U.S. Hwy. 285 from Colorado-8 South

Morrison, ColoradoApr 27, 20102 Comments

The trap is south of Colorado-8. The Morrison owns about a mile stretch of U.S. Hwy. 285 and this is a big revenue collector for the town. A local car sits in a pull-out on either side of the divided highway and clocks vehicles coming and going to/from Denver. The southbound speed limit on U.S. 285 is 65 mph until you go under the Colorado-8 overpass where it drops to 50 mph in both directions.

East Bound I-70 near Morrison, CO Exit

Morrison, ColoradoApr 26, 20101 Comments

While going down this hill from the mountains. There are 2 places they camp out one place is on a blind curve after runaway truck ramp. An undercover cop likes to hang out here. The other one is watch out going down the hill in general. Sometimes there is an aircraft clocking you. Cops are then waiting on the overpass of the Morrison exit waiting to pull you over.
