On Evergeen Ave

Hamden, ConnecticutOct 07, 20100 Comments

On Evergreen Ave, at first stop sign coming from Dixwell Ave to Whitney Ave. Cops wait on side street at stop sign for you to blow thru it, speeding to get to Whitney Ave. (This usually happens between 11 pm – 2 am).

Off of Rt 40 Connector at the light

Hamden, ConnecticutJul 11, 20100 Comments

There is now no turning off of the connector. The cop sits across in the grassy area. This is recent (since May 2010). Got caught and got a ticket. Cop said I went through the light even though it was yellow. JUST STOP don’t try to beat the light.

State Route 10 near 1/2 block South of Playwright Bar on corner of Putnam and Whitney.

Hamden, ConnecticutFeb 21, 20070 Comments

Typically a motorcycle cop that is parked on the sidewalk just past the driveway to the parking lot for the little strip mall/condo complex on the same side as the Playwright bar.

I have only seen them during evening rush but I am not through there in the morning.

State Route 10 near Eli Whitney Museum across from the Waterfall.

Hamden, ConnecticutFeb 21, 20070 Comments

This report is for spring and summer.
Hamden cops run the traps from the driveways of the barn on one side and the Museum on the other. I have caught them at it during both the morning and evening rush.

Beware, New haven also runs laser traps 1 tenth of a mile south of this location (toward New Haven) on Whitney trying to catch traffic coming from Hamden.

State Route 10 near Between the Cemetery and the Waite Street Bridge

Hamden, ConnecticutFeb 21, 20070 Comments

There are several driveways and a street that cops have used to set up in before.

They sometimes even sit in the Gas station parking lot near the Cemetery after bar closing time trying to catch south bound traffic (heading toward New Haven)

Also I have seen cruisers pulled right up on the sidewalk along the northbound side of Whitney Ave. just south of the bridge before the Waite street intersection.
