Spring Street near Porter Avenue
This trap is usually starts at Porter. The officer sits on the side Rd. at the next stop sign. It continues past the golf course, with a cop in the factory parking lot with radar. It is a double trap, they can get 2 cars at once with the 1st car radioing the second to stop you if he is busy with a ticket. Heaviest in the evening on weekends.
State Highway Route 8 near Union City/Prospect Road
A Nuagatuck Officer will position himself off the end of the ramp getting off Rt 8 South Bound, and nail you as you come off the ramp. He is prolly also clocking vehicles entering NB 8 from that area.
Spring Street near Bridge Street
The police park one cruiser at Multi metal & one cruiser just past Mattatuck Manor apartments. The cop at Multi cloks you & the one just past the apts. stops you. They cqan stop 2-3 motorists at a time. The posted limit is 30 mph, but don’t even try to go 31moh or they Will stop you.They are usually out there between 6pm & 9pm. The police station is about 1/4 mile up on Spring, bu they do not set the trap there( to obvious!) Hope this helps.
