Rt. 138 – on the Voluntown Griswold line
Heading West on Rt. 138 – Troopers are positioned around a corner where the speed limit increases from 30 mph to 40 mph.
You will need to accelerate to go up a hill as you see the 40 mph sign, but the troopers will pull you over, telling you that even though you can SEE the 40 mph sign, you remain in a 30 mph zone until you pass the sign.
