Wallingford, Connecticut Speed Traps
State Route RT 5, South Colony Road near Exit Number 13, by Colony Lanes
Police will sit in the Colony Lanes (bowling alley) parking lot. They catch people speeding down RT 5 right after you go over a little hill. The speed limit is 40, but everyone seems to go faster. They also catch people turning off of John Street where there is a no turn on red.
State Highway Merrit Pkwy – Rt 15 S near Exit Number 64
Travelling southbound on Merritt Pkwy through Wallingford, CT… state trooper parked on grass on the north side (right hand side) at exit 64 just over crest of hill. Any speed over 68mph (+/- 3mph) and they will give a ticket.
State Route 5 near Meriden – Wallingford Town Line
Officer parks in the Parking lot across from Kohls right near the Meriden town line
Pond Hill Road & Harrison Road
Cop sits in the Fire Station chcking for complete stops at stop signs, speed, seat belts. Schools area. Then goes down Pond Hill towawrds North Haven and sits on side of road on left side (2 different spots) with radar gun. Straight road.
I 95 Southbound exit 15 and rest area just south of exit 15
One or two clocking cars several several chase cars,usally after bad wrecks or new bears graduate.
